I See You Wild Child, With All Your Dreams And Insecurities
Our inner children need space to feel their feelings, just like our children do.
They ALSO need us, our encouragement and guidance to a more empowered path.
I find my inner child, equally to my son, are my best teachers.
They reflect my fears and my desires.
They are unapologetically themselves.
When we tune into our inner child, in a deep and meaningful way, she will teach us about ourselves.
When I asked my inner child how I could help her when she’s feeling triggered (after feeling highly triggered by my husband last week), she said place your hand on your heart, which is where I often stay, and breathe.
I do this now, every single time.
And sure enough, there she is.
Waiting and wanting to be loved.
So simple, so profound.
This is not easy work, but it certainly is worthy work.
I see you wild child. In all your glory, with all your dreams and insecurities, and I am holding you.
Will you hold yours, too?
With love,
Diana
